The layer that makes sheer fabric wearable
Sheer and lightly lined bodices are everywhere in modern bridal, and they create a very specific problem: any coverage thick enough to conceal is thick enough to see. The answer is not more fabric but less — a feather-thin silicone cover with an edge that tapers to nothing, so the transition between cover and skin has no thickness to catch the light.
These are reusable nude silicone with a smooth straight border, chosen where the smoothest possible finish matters: illusion necklines, unlined chiffon, fine crepe and anything photographed at close range. Straight-edge covers sit flattest of the two profiles we make, which is why they are the ones recommended for the most transparent fabrics.
Reusable with proper care — rinse the adhesive face with mild soap and cool water after wear, air dry face-up, and store on the backing film. Apply to clean, dry skin with no moisturiser or oil. They also pair with Pushies and tape inside the Sheer & Strapless Kit, which covers the full set of problems a lightweight gown creates.
Common questions
Under sheer, unlined or lightly lined bodices, yes — and under any pale fabric photographed with flash, which is more revealing than the eye. If the gown has built-in structured cups you can usually go without; if it has an illusion panel or a single layer of chiffon or crepe, covers make the difference.
Yes. Rinse the adhesive face with mild soap and cool water after each wear, air dry face-up without touching the silicone, and re-cover with the backing film for storage. Handled that way a pair lasts many wears.
Both are the same ultra-thin reusable silicone. The straight edge sits marginally flatter and is our recommendation for the most transparent fabrics; the flower-cut edge tapers more softly and is best for embroidered or detailed gowns where a set circle might be too obvious around the nipple.
Not if applied to clean, dry skin and pressed flat from the centre outwards. The profile is feather-thin and the border tapers, so there is no rim to read through fabric. Trapped air at the edge is what causes a visible outline — smooth it out when applying.
