Seamless Waist Shapewear Short
$94.99
Seamless detail at the waist and around the leg opening, so there is no edge to read through your dress. Boning at the front and back keeps it secured and flat around the waist, sitting to the waist and under the ribcage where it is designed to cinch. A cotton gusset with inner panel shaping gives a flatter stomach and a better butt shape. Best under any dress — seamless, discreet and formfitting.

Seamless at the waist and the leg opening
Every shaping short has to end somewhere, and the place it ends is the place a dress finds it. This one is seamless at both ends — around the waist and around the leg opening — which is the whole reason it exists alongside our High Waist Shapewear Short. That piece uses a thick leg band, which holds beautifully but needs a skirt to cover it. This one has nothing to cover.
Boning at the front and back keeps the garment secured and flat around the waist rather than folding over on itself when you sit. It comes to the waist and sits under the ribcage, which is where it is designed to cinch — high enough to hold the middle without pressing on the softest part of the stomach.
Inside there is a cotton gusset and an inner shaping panel that flattens the stomach while shaping the seat rather than squashing it. Drafted in Sarah Stoute's Christchurch atelier against real gowns in live fittings, and cut to be discreet and formfitting under any dress — fitted, clingy or full.
Common questions
The finish at the leg. The High Waist short ends in a thick band that grips the thigh and holds all day, but it has to be covered by a skirt that flares from the waist. This one is seamless at the waist and the leg opening, so there is no edge to read through the fabric — which means it can go under a fitted or clingy dress as well as a fuller one.
Boning at the front and back is what stops that. It holds the waistband flat and upright instead of letting it fold over when you sit, which is how most shaping shorts start to roll.
It comes up to the waist and sits under the ribcage. That is deliberate — cinching from above the softest part of the stomach gives a cleaner line than a band sitting on the middle of it.
Any of them, which is the point of the seamless finish. It is discreet and formfitting enough for a fitted or clingy gown, and equally at home under a ballgown or A-line.
